These 3 advertising professionals took a bold step to set up a high end sound studio in virgin territory at the time. The place was Bandra. The studio was Octavius.

HISTORY

Rome was not built in a day.

AD 1995 : Studio Octavius opens with completely revolutionary interiors, acoustics, attitude and ambience. Music directors like Ehsaan-Loy, Shiv Mathur, Louis Banks, Zubin, Ashley, all gravitate towards this breath of fresh air. And Octavius rules.

Followed by periodic expansions and takeovers of other struggling studios, with the Octavius brand and expertise, six markedly different studios are established under the flagship Octavius. They are 32nd Street, Cubix, Sound Bar, Sound Byte, and Sound Den. Clients now have a variety of choice for price and location. And much less of listening to 'Sorry, we're booked'.

In these 21 years, a lot of people have grown along with us. Many engineers have started their successful careers at Octavius. Most freelancers have had a fruitful stint there at some period of their careers. Some have even gone a step further and set up studios, obviously gaining more than just experience and engineering knowledge from their time at Octavius.

All these events are welcome, and witnessing the Bandra Khar location become a studio hub has been an exhilarating feeling for the first settlers.
